Come on baby, light my fire

One's daily life in Monrovia is consumed with philosophical questions about viable states, statehood in the face of globalisation and neoliberalism, and injustice.

One also is also constantly faced with burning questions related to light. No, not inner light. I mean, "do I got power or not?"

At both the office and house, I ask my staff to keep a detailed record related to power. We record LEC readings twice a day, and also note when we top up the fuel in the back up generator and when we did the last service.

Charming isn't it?
