A rosy evening walk

Today's walk was especially beautiful.

Kavita is posing infront of a red tiled wall in Mamba Point, near the old US Embassy entrance.

We also wandered around an old, decrepit building next to the old US Embassy compound.

The Americans own about most of Mamba Point.

We picked some bright red flowers and took some pictures with them.

These magnificent flowers strewn on the ground have fallen off a Spathodea tree or commonly known as African Tulip. They even grow in the Caribbean and Asia.

This stunning red flower grows on a bush and the scientific name is Caesalpinia pulcherrima. It is also commonly known as poinciana, peacock flower, red bird of paradise, Mexican bird of paradise, dwarf poinciana, pride of Barbados, flos pavonis, and flamboyant-de-jardin.
