A memorable rainy Saturday in September

What a busy and delightful day! We went shopping for lappa fabric in Waterside and Gurley Street for bedroom curtains and to re-upholster our dining room chairs. Later in the evening, we had a most delicious Eid dinner at our friends Amna and Qasim in Bushrod Island.

First stopped to get some cash out of the ATM at the UBA Bank at the top of Broad Street. This is the corner of Broad Street.
At a fabric shop in Waterside. It started to pour and Haresh went with an umbrella to bring the car round.

I sat Kavita on the counter and took this photo.
Driving from Waterside back to town.
We find another fabric shop on Gurley Street. There are so many tailoring/fabric shops all over Monrovia.

Beautiful, vibrant stunning prints.

The purchased fabric was given to a carpenter (next to Access Bank, at the end of Ashmun Street) who upholstered our dining room chairs in the same day. We also purchased some fabric for new curtains in our bedroom and, some for gifts.
