3. Army is seen participating in these protests and videos surfaced of Army inciting more protests

4. Govt bans TLP and apparently Police is beating up TLP workers and media is of course not allowed to cover any of this

6. Prime Minister makes televised address to gently admonish TLP method of loving Islam and the Prophet

7. Interior Minister says govt revokes ban, will release all TLP workers and, will table resolution in Parliament to expel French Ambassador

8. To note, this government had already signed an Agreement with TLP to expel French Ambassador 3 months ago.

9. To note, TLP is a political party and has reps in Parliament

10. "When Muslim countries erupt with rage over images of Muhammad, I see governments who cannot feed their people, or provide them with dignity or democratic rights, so they feed them false pride instead. " Nesrine Malik's column in the Guardian

11. "The story of blasphemy in contemporary Islam isn’t about doctrine. It is about decline and dictatorship." Nesrine Malik's column in the Guardian

A red hibiscus, a yellow golden trumpet, a red pomegranate and spiky calliandra

Kavita is holding a red hibiscus flower

This is a Golden Trumpet Tree, I think.

These are red spiky flowers of the Calliandra tree

We just love this garden. It's our favourite in our neighbourhood. We call it the fairy garden.

This is a pomegranate tree

This is Kavita's new toy, Lolly

This is Kavita's precious laser light which broke. Kavita gathered the pieces
and told me to hang on to them while she played with a friend. Later she put it back.

And, then we sat under the tree

Purple jacaranda and loud black drongo

Our road (Agha Nasir or East Service Road) is full of purple jacaranda again. Kavita rode her bike around the green belt. And, then, I made a little movie of a pair of black drongo having a very loud conversation. See here: Loud Black Drongo. At least that's what I think these birds are. Let me know if it's another species.

I have a lot of fuzzy photos that aren't clear but you know, I don't really mind. All I want to do is capture my precious evening walks.

Dekha eik khwab

All I could do was hum Silsilay's iconic romantic song "Dekha eik khwab" when I saw these flowers in Fatima Jinnah Park.

Kavita and I met up with our friends Ayesha, Hassan and Mohsin for a walk in Fatima Jinnah Park. Hassan and Mohsin are wildlife and hiking enthusiasts. They knew every trail in the Margalla Hills and often regale us with stories of wild boar, barking deer and, bird sightings.

In fact, Hassan is the 11 year old who petitioned against falcon hunting. See:  I am 11. I have petitioned an Islamabad court to ban falcon poaching in Pakistan

I made a nighttime walking video. You can catch some conversations about wild life in the Margalla Hills.

Later we went for Syrian Shawarma and, ice cream from Juice Land
