The Palestinian struggle
The Arab League always wanted peace, not the other way around. Israel was founded by ehnically cleansing Palestinians and stealing their land.
See this from Ben - Gurion, Israel's founder. I'm not a historian but some historical leaders of our enemies have exhibited intellect, honesty, and deep intelligence in their crimes. Now, Israel talks about anti Semitism and all that but its founders knew they stole Palestinian land and expelled its people. Today Israel's leaders talk like American and Western liberals in general : they talk about democracy, freedom, deserts blooming, etc.
We clearly don't have honest enemies anymore.

International Development is a Colonial Construct
I had to take screenshots of a conversation I had on the Humanitarian Women's Network on Facebook. The woman who wrote the Post is Anonymous so there's that.
I couldn't resist writing a response as I was really offended.
I did take a screenshot of what was posted and my response because it's proof of how colonial this world is. What's the difference between a colonial White Woman complaining about the dangers of India or Dark Africa? She lumps India, Pakistan and Nigeria as one and says they are "risky." Mind you, she also delegates the rural areas in these countries as even worse than the urban spaces. There's no limit to the levels of colonial /racist ignorance. These are the women who populate this Sector! She erases populations , women, histories, cultures.
Mind you, no one challenged her.
I made sure I took screenshots because too often we are gaslit by Western women, especially white women, who really think they are not racist or ignorant and have every freaking right to be working in powerful positions in this Industry.

Family relations in Persian
I saw this on Twitter and was absolutely fascinated. Urdu derives so much from Farsi.
As you know I've not learned Urdu in school. I only speak conversational Urdu and can read it slowly. I can watch Urdu dramas. But it's always a sense of loss that I didn't study Urdu in school.
English sometimes feels like such a functional language and much less richer than Urdu. I mean, English is so limited compared to Persian.
